Excellence Through Innovation
Since 1996, Sesame Access has been building bespoke invisible lifts to solve accessibility issues in new, old and landmark buildings. Our lift systems fully comply with all ADA regulations without requiring any changes to the exterior or interior of the building.
We accomplish this extraordinary feat using extensive and patented engineering, where the existing staircase is rebuilt to slide away while a lift rises in its place. After the lift is used, the stairs slide back to their regular position, leaving just a small seam visible.
Our lifts are in use in all types of buildings, including palaces, Apple stores and even the Space Needle in Seattle. For each location, we plan extensively to ensure that the lift is concealed when not in use and works flawlessly.
Our lifts have earned us the most prestigious awards, including The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, London Innovation of the Year, the Design Council’s Millennium Product and the Blue Badge Lifetime Achievement Award.
An unrivaled level of expertise and unsurpassed commitment to service is the signature of each Sesame Access solution.
Invisible Lift Can Save Up To $650,000 Over 10 Years Compared To A Traditional Elevator.
Calculation is based on the following: Loss of use of 65 sf (actual space) on retail level, a matching 65 sf (actual) on basement level. Retail level space base year at $725 p/sf and basement at $65 p/sf. Rent has a 3% annual rent escalation and space has a 25% loss factor. Total 10 year loss rental loss $735,837. Traditional elevator $30,000, design and rebuild storefront and interior $35,000. Total 10 year cost (not including elevator maintenance and insurance) $800,837
